Denver Spanish AcademyDenver has always been known as the Mile-High City, but what some people might not know is how ethnically diverse the city is. 197,424 of its total 566,974 residents claim to be of Hispanic or Latino origin. Also, about 114,152 of Denver’s residents speak Spanish in their own homes. Because about 40 percent of Denver is of Hispanic or Latino origin, there is a great amount of Hispanic culture within the city. There are always events and cultural activities happening in Denver that celebrate the Hispanic community, and many of these are kid-friendly or especially for kids. One such event is the weekend-long Cinco de Mayo Festival that takes place downtown. Food, music, art and culture are all intertwined with each other and meant for families to experience together. This festival has a special section just for children to teach them about Hispanic culture. The Spanish language will continue to grow and become more popular in the Denver area, which is why it is important for your child to learn Spanish at an early age. It is a lifelong skill they can use to better understand Hispanic customs, culture and interactions. Why do you want your child to learn to speak Spanish? Please tell us using the form to the right. |
